The problem

Quotes lived in one program, invoices in another, stock in spreadsheets and the SARS travel logbook on paper. Month-end meant pulling it all together by hand, and there was no record of who had changed what.

What we built

A single web app that runs like a desktop program. It covers inventory, quotes and invoicing, purchases, the SARS logbook, a planner, user accounts, backups and an audit log of every change, with an AI assistant built in.

The result

Every quote, invoice, purchase and trip is in one place. The dashboard shows the tax-year totals at a glance, and every change is logged with who made it. We run Blue Sands Computing on it every day.

Keeping a trusted ARV dispensing system running on new computers.

The problem

iDART is the pharmacy system clinics use to dispense ARV treatment and keep track of each patient's collections. It was made for older versions of Windows, and as clinics replaced their PCs with Windows 11 machines it stopped running reliably.

What we built

An updated iDART (version 3.9) that installs and runs cleanly on Windows 11. Pharmacists keep the screens they already know: General Admin, Patient Admin, Stock and Dispensing, and Reports.

The result

Clinics can move to new Windows 11 PCs and carry on dispensing, without retraining staff or changing how the pharmacy works.

Stock, batches and expiry dates in one Windows app.

The problem

Stock was counted by hand and kept in spreadsheets. Expired items were found on the shelf too late, and popular lines ran out before anyone reordered.

What we built

A Windows desktop app that tracks every item by batch and expiry date, warns about stock that is about to expire, flags what to reorder and shows the value of the stock on hand.

The result

The pharmacy sees what is expiring before it expires and what to reorder before it runs out, and knows what its stock is worth without a manual count.
